Super article about my favorite actor. Loved the references to the lesser known films, especially “Hell is for Heroes,” a masterpiece of bleakness. I can see right now that bunker burning in the dark as the closing credits roll. Also “The Sand Pebbles.” (“rye stee stop wow”)
